Call me sad if you like, but I adore cleaning my car - somtimes twice a week!
I tend to go and use the pressure washer and then bring the car home to leather it off. The pressure washers here in France are excellent - hot water and high pressure - the car comes up really clean.
I gave my car two coats of Teflon when I got it, which I'll refresh every six months or so. It keeps the laquer nice and shiny and also makes it easier to clean - especially in the summer when it gets covered in bugs.

For those of you with a leather interior, I heartily recommend that you use a protection product on it. It helps keeps the leather in good shape and makes it a hell of a lot easier to clean if there are any 'little accidents' with the kids.
