I mostly wash the car at home, with a high pressure cleaner, but this is not always possible in the winter. I took advantage of warm weather a month ago, but the last time I went to a nearby gasoline station which has a brushless (high pressure water only) washing system. The brushless system is not good enough if there is a lot of hard-to-remove dirt on the car, but then only a hand wash with polishing will be good enough anyway, IMHO.
Btw, when hand-washing, do you prefer to use a brush mounted on the high pressure cleaner or do you prefer to use an old-fashioned sponge? I have a soft brush for the high-pressure cleaner, but I'm not that fond of the results, so I might go back to the old-fashioned way next time. I always use the HP cleaner to remove as much dirt as possible before using any brush or sponge, though.
