The German term:
Hüte dich vor dem Hund! ~ Beware of the dog!
is not the usual german expression.
We use:
Achtung (vor dem) Hund! ~ attenti (al) cane! ~ attention (to the) dog!
But is my (wife´s/daughter´s) translation correct?
