Thats the automatic gear box! If I want to drive like my old gear box: growing up the speed from light signal to signal its a heavy work! If you want the automatik to lift up the gear you have to reduce the gas. Speed will reduce in the same way. With the manual gearbox you can switch a higher gear manually and the big torque on low rpm oft he diesel engine will grow up the speed again even in the next gear. The automatik just will not switch into the next gear if you wants it to grow up and up.....

I doubt that its is possible to cruise from light to light nearly without the gas pedal and save a lot of feul. THe other once in our nervous city of 600.000 people will kill you..........

And yes: If you notice the higher tax of diesel engines and the low difference in prices of diesel and feul feul engines will have a comeback.
