Rear windows ...AGAIN...

I know it has been mentioned several times in other posts but I am going to start another one in the hope of a final solution.

My rear electric windows open OK either fully or partially but unless wound fully down they will not go up again.

Pressing the up button (any one) raises it about 2cm then drops about 5cm, exactly what it should do if it senses an obstruction.

BOTH rear windows developed the problem at the same time but my dealer assures me that the sensors are built into each separate motor so I cannot see why they are both affected.

I have so far tried :
Disconnecting the battery for a mninute
Holding the down button for 10 seconds after the window stops
Holding the up button for 10 seconds after the window stops
Raising the window in short steps to the top
Repeating all of the above several times

...but still they need to be fully wound down before they will go up - if you stop them going up and start again they are OK, the problem is only there when you lower them partially.

Please help solve this annoying problem - someone must know the answer
