I think the previous 2.2HDi had "only" 128hp, not 136hp .
My sister had a 2003 P807 2.2HDi before she owned the same C8 (2005) as we still do (coming week exchange for the new P807) - I once drove that P807 2.2HDi and found even that engine having already obviously more torque compared to the 2.0HDi 110hp - what "rocket" the 170hp version must be.... - but I'm a very quit driver so till now my 3x 2.0HDi 110hp (Ulysse I and 2x C8) have done the job very well (concerning power, not concerning long-term reliability.....).
I can imagine however, living in Germany, France, (Switzerland, Austria, ...) or the UK, where distances are much longer or where you drive more often in hills/mountain areas, some more power/torque can be useful.
Enjoy ! thanks!

The only thing what is scaring me a little, is that to my sister's and my experience, at least here in Belgium, the Citroën after sales service is (much) better as the Peugeot's.
Citroën seems to be much more flexible in questions "warranty or not" - but for the moment a Peugeot dealer gave me a significant higher trade-in price for our current C8 (dealer dependent: a difference of even 5.000€ between two Peugeot dealers here in the neighbourhood of Ghent.....).
