Car: Citroen C8 2.2HDI 173hp Exclusive Auto
Country of origin:
France

Patanostra: Have been running on bio-diesel on the first day we got the new C8 last month. No issue other than a cheaper bill

Bis jetzt haben wir Mineral diesel benuetzt aber aber anfang 2008 es gibt ein niedriger Steuer in England. Minimal 20 Pence Rabatt pro Liter.

Check this link where even the english tuners are working on it or more precisely having a look at how their retuned cars perform with biodiesel.

You can find couple of websites for bio-fuel:
www.ryebiofuels.co.uk
www.biodieselfillingstation.co.uk/alloutlets.htm-104k
www.petrolprices.com

Where my friend saw the diesel advertised was:
United Petroleum Company Ltd
Clayhill Service Station
Uckfield Road
Ringmer
Lewes
01273 814340
£1.08 per liter

Ryebiofuels sold it for 85p per liter earlier this year.

Since the fuel filter is brand new, I have not changed it but will have a look by the end of the summer to see if there is anything in it.

Car is very silent but it might be the difference between the old (single turbo) and new (Twin turbo) 2.2HDI. Also Auto box is not an incentive to hammer the right pedal either...

Furthermore since we drive very calmly and have been driving like that for a few years now (since the kids have arrived..) I do not stress the engine at all.

We try to stick to 50% mineral, 50% vegetal at the moment. I will see this winter if we reduce the vegetal share to avoid cold weather gelification.
Especially since we take the kids skiing fuer Weihnachts in Oestereich, we wil make sure we refill somewhere in Bayern on the way up...

I was under the impression that B30 and B90 was widely available in Deutschland.
Having seen what diesel engines were fed with in Africa for years and years, while in the army, I am not exactly worried with Biodiesel as long as the engine and the filters are maintained properly on our shores.

So far so so good or more precisely so far so cheap...
