I think with the current series (and certainly the facelifted models) there will be no serious problems anymore.
For the moment I'm happy with our 2 months old (8.000km) P807 2.0HDi 136hp - the engine is even more quiet compared to our 2x previous C8 2.0HDi 110hp - and the fuel consumption, specifically on long distances, is lower.
Plenty of torque (320Nm and overboost during few seconds to 340Nm), effortless behaviour on highway (speed recovery really quick and easy).
