Angry Problems with right sliding door window

Hi Folks,

I had a good experience what Fiat means with "Mobilitäts Garantie".
After closing the doors the window of the right sliding door opened a few centimeters. I tried to close it again, but on each try it opend a few centimeters more. I called the Fiat hotline and they send the ÖAMTC (like ADAC in Germany). After a few tries to close the window the ÖAMTC man told me that the control unit has a fault and to go to a Fiat dealer. I called the hotline again and they told me that there is no open garage and I should contact my dealer on Monday. Now it's satureday and I'm on the road with an open window. Nice, isn`t it.

best regards Christian

Hi
try to push the windows up when you are pressing the button.

This seems to be the safety clutch. This is working when the force is to high that the windows needs to close. So help the window by closing with some smouth force right up.

Hi DirkS,

not realy. I was at the garage last monday and they did some programming over the service interface. They also ordered the window key console on the drivers side, because they had some problems on other cars with this part. I had no further problems so far with the window. But there was no much time in between to have some.

best regards christian

Hi,

I had this problem too in my phedra!

First time the garage programmed the automatic for the windows.

3 weeks after it happens again!

The man out of Heilbronn (Außendienstler der mein Fahrzeug letztendlich zurücknahm!) told me; that this problem is known by Fiat.

The reason is a contact. I don't know which one. There is a problem with wedness in the contact. He told me that this problem could be fixed by changing this contact. Thr factory has changed the construction.

It seems that he took one of this new ones to my dealer (a Prototyp?).

Take a look in my thread " Produktionsstandard" in Members only area! They wrote, that this problem could be fixed!

I did the following way to fix it temporary: Close your car by using the remote key.

Open it by using remote control of the key again. Press the open button again. All windows will open (Lüftungsfunktion), without the window with the fail function. Maybe it is just opened by the fail function before. Open the electric door with failed window. Just close it again. Now close the car by using the remote key. All windows, the failed one too, will close!

Now make the test: open the car again by remote key and using the Lüftungsfunktion. All windows will open. If you close the are again, all windows are closing correct!

Sometimes the problem was fixed only by opening and closing the door without this procedere. May be it is the contact between the door and the B-Säule ( I don't know the english translation), which they have meant!

Belong the next time.....

In future you will walk around your car, if you leave it to make sure, that all windows are closed.

One of the reasons for me to take the car back to my dealer!

In www.andre-citroen-forum.de there are many drivers in this time who are talking about this problem!

I'm wondering about this! Surely the man out of Heilbronn told me, that Fiat has a possibitlity to fix it.

Why is this not a reason for a total recall of all cars?

Hi

I 've driven a phedra out of the showroom of my dealer. The car has extrem problems with closing automatic windows and sunroofs!

The dealer told me, that the electronic control unit is to progam again. The unit in new cars is changed to fix this generell problem! He wishes, that my new car will build after the vacation in Sevelnord. This Problem should be fixed in cars builded after vacation!

Perhaps he only wants to calm me down!

Maybe the problem is fixed with the change of the electronic control unit for the e-doors by the recall!

The unit for the windows and the sunroofs are the same! Maybe for the doors too!

greetings
