Question Automaticly closing of windows

Hi,

In the car manual of my 807 is stated that open windows will automaticly close when I lock the car. But in my case; nothing happens, the windows stay open when the doors are locked.

Is this feature working with anyone of you ???

Thanks,

Rien

Hi Rien du Pre,

My windoes are closing after closing the car. I think there is a thread dealing with this topic (maybee in the member section) and how to programm the function.

Sorry it`s the Tips & Tricks Section Section and the thread is called "How do I activate/deactivate 'automatic airing'? "

Best regards Christian

Hi Christian,

Thanks for your answer....

But I don't see a thread about this feature. There is a thread about automatic airing, which also does noet work with my car. But I dont see anything about the automatic closing of the windows.

Am I overlooking something ???

the autoclose from the windows needs the auto opening when pressing the open button twice.

here is the giudline. you have to program this the the closing will be all right.

[i]There's a feature called 'automatic airing". When opening the car with the remote control, press the open button once again and all the four windows will open to air the car before entering.

This feature is usually activated. However, there is a chance that this feature is not active. Activating this feature can be achieved as follows:

- Turn off the car, ignition in first position (battery light off)
- Open the window from the inside
- Keep the window switch 'pulled' while switching on the ignition (battery light on)
- Close the window from the inside
- Keep the window switch 'pushed' while switching off the ignition (battery light off)

Repeat that procedure for all windows that you intend to open with a double-press on the remotes' open button.

I thought that the feature on opening the windows and also the closing of the windows on door lock are the same option. As I didn`t change the programming on my car I`m not sure if I`m right. But if you try to program the windows as described they maybe also close on door lock too. Give it a try!!

best regards Christian

Hi Christian and Uwe_Rossi,

I tried the procedure many times without any luck.....
Are you sure the procedure is right ???

I give my dealer a visit, and see if he can get this working....
As you know the kids are allways playing around with the electrical windows and I like this feature a lot because then I'm sure all windows are closed when I lock the car.

Best regards,

Rien

I checked it with the dealer and this was the result.....

To close any open windows, I have to push and hold the "close" button on the remote control, and all the windows will close....

The automatic airing feature is still disabled, and they dont know how to enable it. Maybe it has something to do with the new modelyear the said, and they will check it out with Peugeot.

For me the important thing was the automatic closing of the windows when I lock the car, so I'm okay for now.

Thanks to all who replied to this issue..

Regards,

Rien

Have you ever tested this feature with the key in the door lock.
try it with turning to open and hold the key in this position for about 15 sec.
This should open the windows. maybe this will work without any programing

Hi Rien,

I remember it's not enough to press the Open-Button on key again to use the Airing funktion!

Second time you must hold the button pressed up to the windows will open! (1-3 Sek).

I don't think that the airing function is disabled in new cars. In Summer you must use it to reduce the temperature suddenly if the car was parked on a sunny place!

The Klima will work much quicklier if the hot air (up to 60° C inside) is out. I used it every time!

I believe, if the closing function works, the airing funktion works too. It is one!

greetings

Please see my reply in another thread at : Leaving windows open while locking?
The automatic airing is enabled on my new C8, but I need to press the open button twice in a short delay.
However, I wish I could have the windows closing only if I push and hold the close button. In my case, the windows always close even if I push "close" briefly.
Did your dealer have to use the DIAG2000 to activate this ?

openning twice pressing is normal. delay not more than 5sec. closing once pressing is also normal.

Someone tested it but the sunroofs won't open or close.
