Light in the back of the 807

I was quite surprised to notice that only the left-hand lamp in the back of the 807 was on. Beeing in the darkness, I was unable to check whether the right-hand lamp was blown out or not!
The day after, I had a look and noticed that there is a black cover instead of a transparent plastic cover (as it is the left side....) . Is that usual?
Seeing the size of the back of the car, a 2nd light would have been useful!

I have lamps at both sides in the trunk, but I have a Phedra. How old is your car (you can add some info in your profile)?

I had exactly the same experience. I found it to dark, felt the plastic, the day after I saw that there is no lamp…I have a Phedra.

Maybe another saving in the production line or they did just did not have enough parts on stock to assemble the second light, therefore they probably wait until you complain at the dealership and get it fitted afterwards.

Then the question is : does someone already ask the dealer to install a missing lamp? Is this supposed to be installed?

I have 2 lights (prod: 12/2003), In my former car I had installed such a light because there was no light in the boot under the cover.
It is quite annoying that they are saving in such cheap items like those lights.
Last week I bought a rear 12V socket (from PSA dealer) for 55 NIS (~10 EUR).
A rear 12V socket is standard today in every MPV. The wiring was there already and they just saved 2 Euros on me (that's how much it cost them )

Phedra 8/2005

The black blindcover on the right side, looks like the clear one.
But only without metal contact for the bulb and it is black, see attachment:
