807 moniochrome display problem

I drive an 807 with monochrome display. In the summer when I use the air-conditioning my display gets black. After 5 to 10 minutes the display will be functioning reasonably. I’m told that the cold airflow along the display is the cause (temperature difference).
Is this an air leak in the connection with the air grill? Does anybody know this problem? What could be a solution?

Hello, I have C8 with monochrome display, no such problems, sorry.

This is caused from a overheating in the dispay itself.
There is a workaround where you drill some holes in the airduct that cold air can cool the display.
the overheating is caused by the semiconductor wich is mounted on the board for the backlight and/or by the high temp. caused of
parking in the sun.

Thanks for your answer. I think that the problem is not caused by the high temperature (staying in the sun).When I don't use the airco after staying in the sun I have no problem. When I use the airco (automatic of front) the display is going black. When I use the airco without getting cold air on the front the display is function reasonably.

I have to agree with Uwe...a black LCD display IS caused by the temperature being too high - try putting your LCD watch in direct sunlight for 20 minutes and you will see.
If the display gets too cold it will be very slow to respond and also have a milky / foggy appearance, not black.
