170hp -Limited to 210km/h?

I've tried that several times, but I had no chance to go more than 210 km/h!

Is the car limited? Or is it only the display, that isn't able to show more?

I thought that max speed was around 200 km/h actually with the 170hp. At least, that's what my leaflet from Peugeot says about 2.2 HDI 170 with either the manual or auto gearbox. Anyway, I never try to use such speeds, and we are not allowed to here in France, even with my new 170hp (manual)... I just don't want to imagine how much the consumption is at 210 with a 170 auto ;-)

My 2.2 Petrol manual was able to go more than 210 on steep downhills.

Maybe the Diesel reaches his Rev-Limiter at 210

Yes, thats right autogearboxes speed is 198 (km/h).

on the display you will get it to ~ 205 km/h.

Downhill or with wind in the back you will it on 210 km/h (or more?).

Yor poor guys outside germany will never know what will happens on 16o - 170 km/h if you kick down!

The autogearbox will change to the 5th gear and accelerate (in good conditions) to 190 km/h. Ok loud, but fine!

I think 210 is quite enough if not too much for a EV2 - I have the 2.2 with 136PS and drove it arround 200 - if all runs fine you are fine - but if suddenly a crazy guy changes the lane short before you and you have to either breake that you feel your brain smashed inside against your forehead and/or you are foreced to make an elk test you will see and feel the limit of this car. Speed and acceleration is the one thing - this you can do wich many cars - but stability and breakes are the more important things you should consider. Just think about the high center of gravity of the EV2 ....

Don't forget, that the 170 hp has better brakes then the 136 hp version.

You will feel the differnce just in higher speed ranges!

And the brakeassistance is different! I had one strong situation and I was able to feel it on my feet that the car by itself brakes more or earlier than I did it with my feet.

But I'm with you: High speeds are always full of risks! Otherwise you will get a lot of fun.

So think about all the (new) risky sportings ....
