Strange behaviour of the driver and co-driver windows

Hi,

I had a very strange behaviour of the driver and co-driver windows. It started with the opening function of the driver window. Pushing down the button completely didn´t any longer open the window completely. So I tried several times all combination (push, pull, complete push, complete pull) with the driver window. At the end I could only close it by pulling the knob several times: When pulling and holding the knob, the window only went up a bit, so I had to pull and pull to lift it up completely.

Then I tried the window at the co-driver side. Pulling and pushing the knob several times left the window closed. It couldn´t be opened anymore for some minutes. After waiting some time, it could be opened again. I again pulled and pushed the knob and the window again blocked and now stayed opened. It was a frosty experience. Shutting off the engine didn't help. At home I could close it by pressing the closing button on the remote key for long time.

Later, I could reproduce this strange behaviour for both windows. The next morning everything was o.k. again. Since then I didn't play again with it.

Did you notice s.th. similar with your windows?

Bye

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

Only a little bit similar. You must start your engine again for several minutes. Then it will work. Similar like a Computer, you must "boot" your car.

Unhappy

yes I did too... no idea how to solve it... I think all these electric problems with my car are caused due to frostiness and humidity... under these conditions I had several times problem with the electronic systems like windows, radio, door beeper....

any actual idea or solutions on your car(s)? (just realized that Your posts are from 2003...)

Greets,
MiCHael

Has nothing moved? (no noise?)

So I would think it is a thermic problem (not of the electrical parts)
The engine was perhaps too weak - lubricating the guidance of the windows could help.

I had this same problem during the lifetime of my car. I don't know what they did to fix it but after a few month the problem returned.
Last month the exchanged the whole module in the driverside door with the knobs (front and back windows). It works fine now............but for how long? I don't know. What I do know is that i won't buy a 807 again. Since a few months more (known) problems apear. Known by the Eurovan2 community, but not at the Peugeot dealership. (Aaah, no!, we never had that problem with a 807 before....)
Crumbeling seats, strange behouviour windows, leather gearshift loosens, leather steeringwheel damaged, noisy whipers, etc..
