closing the doors driving

Hi

There are a lot of threads in the forum for strange behaviour of the doors, like opening the window on the close, not closing completely etc.

Our doors always functioned great so I thought we just got lucky with our car. About a month ago, I activated the "Auto-lock" (activation of the lock when speed > 10km/h). Now, if the doors are open and I start driving and close the door while moving (You know, the "cool" thing) and the doors are not closed (that is, they are still moving) before the auto-lock hits, all kind of strange behaviour appear from now on.

After I stop and open/close the doors once (while not moving) everything seems to be normal again.

Regards

Thomas

Hello Thomas,

Today I also closed the doors while driving. I also have autolock activated. The only thing I noticed is that autolock was not activated due to the not fully closed door. Autolock only activated after I had been waiting for a traffic light and drove away again.

What kind of strange behaviour does your car have?

Interesting, on our Phedra it won't relock after a stop, only if I shut down the engine.

The strange behaviour are two things. First, the door won't open/shut electrically as long as the engine is running. You have to do it by hand. After I stop the engine (turn the key around) it will work electrically again. Second, on the first remote lock, the window of the door will open about 1 1/2 centimeter.

After I restart the engine, everything is normal again.

Regards

Thomas
