Question Rear seats adjustment

All,

A general question about the rear seats (2nd and 3rd row)....
I find it often difficult to slide the seats backwards and forwards. Forwards is usually OK, but they will only slide backwards when you sit on them and push them back with your legs.
Is this what you experience as well (normal ) or do I need to get the dealer to have a look at it?

Regards

Ron

Hi,
same problem on my C8. The sliding is very difficult. My dealer told me that it is normal . But be careful, if you pull or push the seat too hard, the mechanism will break (as it happened in my case ).

Hello guys,

in my 807 the seats are very smooth and easy to adjust!
Probably you should clean the sluts in the floor, or give a little oil in them.
Otherwise you have to contact the garage!

I can slide the seats pretty easily back and forth without sitting on them. Maybe some grease will help but I think that something is mechanically stucked/distorted.

The system is working hardly at the beginning. After some slidings it will get better. DON't use any grease. In that case and with some sand you will get a very good grinding paste in the sluts. TAke some teflonspray or silikonspray. This is not that sticky.

All,

Thanks for the tips
As the seats have hardly changed position in the few weeks I have the car, I'll give it a bit more time. I'll try some silikon as well!!

Thanks

Ron

I hope you meant "slots", because "sluts" means something completely different! However, it might be good to have some in the car sometimes...

I also have the same problem with my C8. Thanks for all the tips. I'll start by moving them back and forth more frequently and see if that helps.

Guys, just to let you not alone, I also have this feature . I would not really call it a problem because I had the same with my VW Golf and did never complain about it.

I think it's just a question of force and maybe strength (Werner?) to move them back and forth. I also think that it has nothing to do with a single seat itself but with the overall construction, I have it on all seats. It is usually easy to move them right from the middle, eg. when sitting on them, but not when trying it from a side angle, eg. when kids or the like are already sitting on them and you'll try to adjust them.

A little tip from my side - try to move them from the back (vertikal movement), there are these red pull straps under all rear seats which can be used to move the seats as well, this tends to be easier than from the side.
