EV2-Forum's Birthday Meeting

Werner807 asked for plans on the next EV2-Meeting. I just want to share my first thoughts with you:

I'm thinking about the forum's birthday on May 11th, party maybe on May 22nd (join date of Holger, DirkS.

). I envision a barbecue at a little lake with lots of space for wife and kids and tons of beer....

This will allow us to focus more on ourselves and the families as opposed to running around on everybody's own in a family park. We could organize a soccer match (PSA vs. FIAT)

, play games

in the woods and so forth. The kids will have their fun, too, I'm sure.

Obviously it has to take place close to somebody who will organize that party since we need a lot of stuff to eat and drink that has to be carried there. I don't think that everybody has a fridge in the car, right?

I also think that spening the night close by is a good idea, that will prevent the party to be finished too soon. With "close by", I don't mean the woods, but a hotel in the vicinity.

What do you think?

Bad date for me. Also I don't know if some members will use that weekend for a short holiday, as the 20th is a public holiday over here.

Hallo Dirk

Finde ich eine prima Idee. Aber ich würde am 22.Mai nicht können. Da ist Himmelfahrtwochenende und mein Schwiegervater ist Winzer und hat über das lange Wochenende sein Frühlingsfest an dem ich immer in der Küche stehe.

P.S.: Oder Ihr kommt am 22. alle nach Nieder-Hilbersheim. Das Essen wäre kein Problem und einen kleinen Sportplatz, der im Wald leigt, auf dem wir den einen oder andern Spaß machen können wäre auch da.

das datum ist wirklich ungünstig, aber später ist dann pfingsten.

mal sehen was noch für meinungen kommen. nieder hilbersheim ist das nicht ungefähr in der mitte der anfahrtsstrecken

Nieder-Hilbersheim. Klingt gut, klingt mondän, klingt nach weiter Welt.

Weltstadtflair! Ich find das gut. 22.Mai würde auch gehen.

I don't care about the date! It could be the 5th or 19th of June quite as well, or the 12th of June even though there's a german holiday that week on thursday.

My focus is more on the nature of the event. What do you think about an open air barbecue session with families and associated overnight stay?

Is there already a place for the meeting?

Date - outside of the school-vacations.

Give us more Informations about a possible place.

I' ve no problem with the dates!

I will drive to nearly every place reachable in a one days trip!

But what is about our Uk or netherlands party?

Remember in the past it was my onliest "grandmas" 88 th birthday as we did the meeting!
