Just right under the Eurovan2 portal logo. Left from your username, there is now a time greeting ( Good Morning, Good Afernoon and Good Evening ).

Ciao Gerd

Ciao Gerd
Oh yes, I had noticed that. Just wondered, does it take into account timezone differences on the user's PC?

A suggestion for Gerd - would it be possible put a link to babelfish on the forums? The first thing I do when I log on is open another window for babelfish. Of course if each post had two links to babelfish - one for 'German To English' and 'English To German' that would be even better!!!!

There is a timezone setting in your user preferences (User CP) which can be adjusted. So it does !

Yes, I second that. This is what I have adressed some month ago including an example link auto translated to the forum homepage, see Forum Language. Maybe someone can catch it up (Gerd, DirkS.) ?

I tried that once, I put the babelfish window underneath the smilies next to the editor window. It worked, meaning I saw the bablefish window, but the translation didn't work beacuse it always translates the entire web site as opposed to the text window. It needs some fine tuning, but this is not the right task for me (I'm the HW guy...)

Did you ever try http://www.freetranslation.com ? Seems to be a bit more convenient.

Have a look at this.

Hi Holger,

Thinking about this kind of a item (and several more ) already for awhile but can't find the right tool yet to implement this into this forum. But keep looking around for nice features or xtra's to please everyone over here.

ciao Gerd

Why not just change the template and add a link to babelfish. I just tried it with the vBulletin demo board and it worked fine. Here is the text I added to the template:
HTML Code:
<a href="http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/urltrurl?url=http://www.eurovan2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=$threadid&lp=de_en&tt=url">
translate
</a>

@Arnd

Don't like to change the template too much this way, looking more for a webapplet inside this forum which translate the language right away. Don't like this switching between websites all the time. Maybe i was a bit unclear of the wishes i have concerning add-on's of this website sorry.

ciao Gerd
