TJSKD: OK thanks for the details.
I will pay attention to the sun screens in the doors. The first time you brake one, when opening the door while it is up and you need to go to the "stealer" to have a quote, you remember everytime afterwards. The cost is so prohibitive that even the kids now know what to do !

Lilo: Do you drive with seven seats in the car ? Do you drive a mix of town and country to reach such a good consumption ?

Unbelievable!
So you couldn't drive only in the city!
Because lancias technical documentation tells about an average of 11l/100 KM if you only drive in the city.

On the last 100 km I made 11,3l/ 100 km. SO I'm quiet on the norm.

But I have always to thinking about not driving to fast, or accelerate to much to get this result.

@londonirish:

Another details they've changed:

If the whiper switches on the light running 4 times (in automode) it will not switch on the display (instrumental) light inside the car, just the lights outside. If you go in a tunnel the lightautomatik will switch on the instrumental light too.

Autoclosing of the windows will not work, if you don't touch the remotekey a second time in ~ 10 sek. You have to switch on and off ignition first, lock the car and press the key while the 10 sek for a second time.

In my case I let a window open, walk around the car, took something out of the trunk and it doesn't work anymore without switching on and off ignition again.

The new light senor works very well like the rain sensor do.

The green (and not blue like in the old one) tinted rear window has a lightning effect on rainy days. A little bit like this yellow glasses you got in the 70th/80th to get better seeing on fog or grey days.

The breaks has a better effekt than on the old one.

The conclusion for the angles in the side door is very simple: The first angle has an open end in the front. If the shield is not in the correct position of the rear angle it will slide out of the first angle und pull down. Very effective but simple. I will call it clever!

More details will follow.

Hi,

5 seats in the car and it's a mix between town and country and motorway. BTW: 175 km/h up the hill on the motorway today. That's nice, nothing worse than the V6...except the music from the V6 . But that 1 km was probably SLIGHTLY more than 8.6l/100km.

Lothar

I totally agree. However, my rain sensor switch to max whiping with almost no raid when using it the first time a rainy day. I switch on/off auto-whiping several times and let time whip max for some minutes. Since then it works as expected now.

Another thing: I could not adjust my e-seat (driverside) today until starting the engine. Ignition alone was not enough. However, passanger's seat could be adjusted even without ignition!? Will check again tomorrow, but that was strange...

And as you mentioned before: the child lock does NOT lock the close-function for the e-doors using the button in the rear. I call that dangerous...because my little son (2 yrs) can not press that button.

Regards,

Lothar

It was the same as mine!
After 25 km - 50 km driving all was ok! Since than you could change position without ignition like it wot´rks on co drivers seat. Something has to wake up! I thought too it was a fault. But now I know its normal!

Is the overspeed function enabled on your car? Ot did you get the speedlimiter?
At mine the good old one is deactivated.

To the steering:

Do you know a difference to your last car?

Mine tries to react in the middle postion if my acceleration is too fast. Like steering by itself!

And:

Sometimes I try to wake upmy childs by a joke: DRiving a fast slalom with the steering wheel.(Fast small right and left action). If I ddid that on the way to vieanna the car does only small actions on 100 - 120 km/h. It seems like the steering react my actions to stableisize the car. A new electrical steering?

Do you notice the change of small things like the buttons of the interieur lights? THe angles in the back of the trunk. Noew they are like the ones back the second row. In my former phedras tthe back ones only was small fixed metal angels.

Back to the whipers: Now you can switch between automatik or normal intervall, isn't it?

RT4 will play different messages if the driver or the co drivers seat belt isn't fastened!

Different sounds of the Gong on RT4.

But all in all the shown messages are full of mistakes in german. Really not good!

In the trunk you will now have onlyone light on the driver side on the last holm. Not one omn both of them.

There are many of that small thing sthey have changed!

Funny to investigate every day! another one.

Hm, it happened here after 500km. But maybe it only works a some time after unlocking. When I tried I think the car was already unlocked for some minutes as I had to load something.

No, only current status und the two trips, no overspeed anymore unfortunately (but we got the cruise control speed limiter!). Something else: CAN RT3 & RT4 got the clima controls...that feature is not available in the EV2, is it?

Well, here I did not notice anything when doing a kickdown on the motorway. It's more speed sensitive than the old one IMHO.

Yes, it looked like that there was missing something. I had to cross-check with my 2003 807 though to find out what exactly :-)

Yes, that's fine. However, it's bit complicated just to switch off the whiper once it's in automatic mode (switch to manual and then switch off).

Well, German translation was never perfect. It is about the same as in 5.52. There were already worse translation in other releases!

No clima controls on mine too! Too sad!

What do you mean, sorry, I can't get it!

Do you have floor mats in the trunk? Lift them than you will see, that the two angle on the floor near the rear (to fit the small lugage net) are the same as this one behind the second row. Moveable and stabel. Old ones was only small metal fixed angles (in both former phedras).

No problems with that. I like it!

Which gong?

Example this one sounds if your seat belt isn't fasted. Now it is a a modern bing bong, first silent than growing up. In the old one it was an equal bing, bing, bing, bing...

My phedras ever has two lights.

What do you think about using the jukebox!

I have problems in searching one album. I've stored 61 albums. I don't like to switch(search all these albums next to next by the wheel of the Source stick. Using the List in the Jukebox menus you can open the List of all albums, and select one. But not to play just to administrate! Terrible solution! I will store 15 more and will be very confused. Help will be the paper list behind the sun chield. Really modern times

Today I found the next new feature:

At RT4 configurations menu you can switch on/off the automatic of rear whiper on reverse gear,On/off of pdc (good for trailing) and light time of follow me home function and the aux connector. No need anymore for the diag or the dealer.

Too bad that this does not be possible for the overspeed function or the pressure sensors.

Our car is not built yet...

The onliest thing I really hate is the new function of auto closing of the windows while locking.

If you don't press the remote key a second time to make the windows running in 15 sek after turning off the ignition the auto-closing will not work without engaging the ignition first.

Totaly stupid!

An example:

One window is open. You take something out of the trunk and now you close the car to go away. Now you notice the open window!

No possibility to close that window with the remote key or the switches in the car.
First you have sit in, turn on ignition and close the window.

Can't account the time I have to go back to my car to do that!

It was so easy with my old car! I had just to lock the car (old bsi) or press the remote a second time (new bsi). Never heard about that stupid time limitation before!

This one will surprise you, as it did to me:

Did you notice RT4 got some function buttons re-arranged? Audio settings is now on the right side instead of the left. Were you already missing the radio station-list function introduced with the bi-tuner RT3 and F/W 5.40?

The button rightest down named "LIST" gives you an up-to-date radio-station-list is when running the radio and a jukebox "browser" with selection possibility when running the jukebox!

I think we were looking EXACTLY for that one!

Lothar

Thank you for that advice!

Thats exactly what you can do I using the speechcommand "jukebox" -> "Liste" as mentioned here:

http://www.eurovan2.com/forum/rt3-rt...functions.html

But you have to select the List with the "Navi-Wheel". Not possible with a speeck command.

Hi everyone,

yesterday we changed our old Phedra Emblema 2,2 into a brandnew Phedra Platino automatic 170hp testa-di-moro-brown.
I agree about being angry about the automatic window-closing when locking the car. I also miss the all-window-opening by pressing the unlock-button on the remote two times.

Greetings from Hans ( bavaria )
