..... and 2.000km passed today.

Fuel consumption on highway while driving 100-110km/h in 6th goes down to 6.5l/100km average (measured over 500km) this absolutely wasn't possible with my C8 110hp !

And while driving this speed in 5th, it is amazing how quickly the car still accelerates when necessairy.

I'm happy that I have changed edit but a little scared about what could go wrong, to be honest...... - however I shouldn't be, otherwise you never enjoy for 100% your car, but my experiences with EV(2) so far..... - the engine is very quit but during acceleration it sounds different compared to the 'old' 110hp, I would say just a little less refined, although better damped

6.000km yesterday. No pbl's - have done a trip from Ghent to Boxmeer (between Venlo and Nijmegen) in the Netherlands, and back, staying at about 100km/h in 5th and 6th gear - average consumption on this whole trip 5.9 l / 100km - including some traffic jam around Antwerp and Eindhoven.

Must say - customer in Boxmeer is not far away from highway - my house in Ghent is not far from highway, so almost no local traffic on this trip.

So it is possible, although needs strict discipline... - don't like to drive this way every day. But I wanted to test the mininum possible consumption. Here it is.

Peter1: Congratulations !!!

8.0l over 589 kms at 122km/h average speed. Spent most of the time with cruise control on.

No roofbox, no rear box and car loaded with furnitures, wine cases (lots ot them...) and suitcases. No kids or wife as everyone flew back home already...

Will try to go below 8 liters average over 600kms again for the next Half Term school break...

Thanks.

Daily use gives a consumption of a little over 7l/100km - still OK.

@ 10.000km now and no annoying things.

Only the front end of the panels on the sliding doors are not very well fixed, like on my previous 2x C8. Something specific for EV2.......
The panels are fixed in a sort of mounting ridge on the downside of the windows, but that isn't solid enough.

They don't get loose, but on the front end of each panel I would like to fix the panel with something closer to the metal of the door (there is a square hole in the metal behind the panel, so you would expect a clip or something on the backside of the panel, but it simply isn't there.

Don't like to "push" some uggly screws in the panels, somebody an idea or solution?

Today 15.000km and still without problems , after 4 months with the new P807 2.0 HDi 136hp ST Comfort.

I would like to place a positive message too, beside my warnings about the cam belts on the earlier engines .

Enjoying very much the quiet engine (and the previous 2.0 HDi 110hp's already were quiet, but even this one is better).

Average fuel consumption most of the time just above 7 L/100km, but sometimes just under 7 L, too (average over a few days - when on the highway the instantaneous consumption can be just above 5 L !), so also somewhat better compared to the 110hp engine).

Have found a solution to better fix the front side of the sliding door panels against the metal of the door (3cm long M4 screw upside down from the inside of the panel through it, vertically, so that the point of the screw comes behind the plastic cover on the A-pillar-part on the door - perfect!).

Regards / Peter

I find it very strange, that you find this worth to be mentioned. Four months and 15tkm is nothing.
