C8 ist bestellt
Hello everyone,
because of our growing family my wife and I searched for a larger car. In our Mitsubishi Carisma it is impossible to fit in three children's seats on the rear seats. And the boot was full when the pushchair was in. We had two types in the assortment: Opel Zafira and Citroen C8 We examined both at the dealer and then we decided to buy a new Citroen C8. It is a C8 2.0 16V Tendance and it is retrofitted with an additional LPG system. And the best thing is: Citroen gives the full guarantee! ![]() We ordered the car at the end of August but we will get it probably in December (because the LPG system has a very long delivery time). ![]() Best Regards affenblubb |

What warranty does Citroën give extra, compared to Opel?

Peter1:
I was able to fit the seats in the Zafira, but it was very complicated to fix them with the seat belts. Citroen gives the full guarantee with the retrofitted LPG system. This is not usual. Some car manufacturers exclude the parts which are affected by the LPG system. And we did not want a CNG system as in the Zafira. Best Regards affenblubb |

As already this time I was thinking about a petrol EV2 on LPG (because of 1. the snapped cam belt on my 2nd C8 HDi and 2. the high diesel prices), but hesitating because of the low petrol resell values after some years. At least here in Belgium. And also hesitating because the high torque of an HDi is quite comfortable for the high weight of the EV2, as we still use it frequently fully loaded (at least 6 adult persons) - even 'only' the difference between my previous 110hp/270Nm engines and my new 136hp/320(340)Nm engine is significant... off-topic Do you think, for example when buying a new C5 break (nice model, to consider seriously beside a VW Passat or Opel Insignia) Citroën would give full warranty with a retrofitted LPG system? In the future when the kids will leave the house, I'll not buy an MPV again, but a break / an estate. /off-topic I'm quite curious to your experiences with your petrol C8 on LPG. So delivery only in December?

The long delivery time is because the dealer must order the LPG system via Citroen Germany (because of the warranty). And perhaps the whole world wants a car with an LPG system... Perhaps it could be November but the dealer promised latest in December. Best Regards affenblubb |
