Not a problem. Its just that IMHO the only Italians who make nice looking cars are Ferrari and Lamborghini - all the rest are just...... well weird!?

Apologies to all Italians on the forum

Again a Component car Like Musa or Phedra.

It could not be good for them to pimp Fiats to Lancias.

They need own concepts and high quality in luxuary design like the new delta and/or the retro of the fulvia (I guess we will not see it!).

There was another article on autoblog.com. They called it "one of the biggest disappointments of this year's Paris show" And, I'm sorry I think its design isn't as good a I expected. The phedra is also mentioned but I think it's only the oficial press text from fiat.

Autoblog.nl mones about the "dikke neuzen" of the new delta.

mmmh,

The design is't mainstream.

But that is what we Lancisti are looking for. Otherwise, we could drive one of the main streamers (Benz, Audi, BMW or VW, Opel, Ford). Or one of these french "Klingonennoseses" (PUG, CIT, sometimes Renault).

So, this can will be the next one for lancisti beeing only. I will like it.

If it is good for the brand? If they will not eran enough money they may not build orign Lancia, only pimped Fiats.

Will Lancia make a new Monte Carlo?

Reports are surfacing that suggest that Lancia is considering reviving the Monte Carlo nameplate for a new model. The original Monte Carlo was a small mid-engined sports car from the 1970s, designed and built by Pininfarina. Because Chevy already had dibs on the name in the US (and does still), the American version was sold as the Scorpion, and was marred by modifications that were required for certification on American roads. Lancia raced the Monte Carlo in Group 5 and was the basis for the legendary Type 037 Group B racer.
Lancia’s parent company Fiat has been in the process of rejuvenating its many brands, and with Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Ferrari all returning to their respective heydays, Lancia’s next. But with only a handful of quirky models in its line-up, Lancia is in need of a halo car to boost its sales and image. A small, affordable mid-engined sports car could be just what the doctor ordered. But without a cost-effective platform in the Fiat Group on which it could be based, its production could be a tough sell to the bean-counters.

Spiegel Online wrote an article about the Thesis (don't know why).

Lancia sells in germany less thesis in a year than BMW 5er's in a day.

coupe convertible to be sold under the Lancia brand

The next rumor about future Lancia models is about a Punto-based coupe convertible.
This is part of a rescue plan for struggling coachbuilder Bertone.

Hm, do they try to save money by leaving out the headlights? Or should it be a "day-only-driving" car?? Or maybe laser lens in the small slots???

Searching a little bit, I found that the rumor is at least from June, 2006 resp. from April 2006

The pictures show the Bertone Suagna Concept. I think a lancia model will look more conventional.
