Es war einmal ein See, der war immer voll Schnee, darum nannten ihn alle Leute nur Schneesee. Um diesen Schneesee wuchs Klee, der Schneeseeklee, der wuchs rot und grün, und darin äste ein Reh, das Schneeseekleereh, und dieses Schneeseekleereh wurde von einer Fee geliebt, die fast so schön war wie Scheherezade, der überaus anmutigen Schneeseekleerehfee. Diese Fee hatte, wie alle Feen dieser Gegend, 66 Zehen, 65 zum Gehen und einen zum Drehen, und dieser 66te Zeh war natürlich der Schneeseekleerehfeedrehzeh. Zehendrehen macht schrecklich Spaß, doch einmal drehte die Fee im Übermut ihren Zeh zu sehr, und da tat der Drehzeh schrecklich weh. Zum Glück wohnte am Schneesee eine weise Frau. Die weise Frau, eine Heckenhexe mit zwei schrecklichen Hackenhaxen, hockte grade vor einer Hucke Kräuter, als die kleine Fee gehumpelt kam.
„Guten Tag, beste Heckenhexe mit den Hackenhaxen!“
„Guten Tag, nette Schneeseekleerehfee mit 66 Zehen! Doch was seh ich: Du humpelst? Was hast du denn?“
„Schneeseekleerehfeezehweh!“
„Gehzehweh oder Drehzehweh?“
„Drehzehweh!“
„Dann ist es nicht schlimm: Gehzehweh ist zäh und hält sich, doch Drehzehweh kommt und vergeht jäh –
und wodurch vergeht es?
Natürlich durch der Heckenhexe herrlichsten Tee, den hellgelben Schneeseekleerehfeedrehzehwehtee! Und einen solchen hellgelben Schneeseekleerehfeedrehzehwehtee werde ich dir jetzt brauen!“
Die Heckenhexe mit den Hackenhaxen nahm Blätter von sieben mal sieben Bäumen und Blüten aus sieben mal sieben Träumen und brachte sie mit Milch aus sieben Eutern und Wurzeln von sieben Kräutern zum Schäumen, und als der Sud sich abgeklärt hatte, wallte im Kessel der hellgelbe Tee. Na, wenn der nicht bitter schmeckte!
„Trink das aus nette Schneeseekleerehfee!“
„Auf einen Zug, beste Heckenhexe?“
„Auf einen Zug, nette Schneeseekleerehfee!“ Da trank die Schneeseekleerehfee auf einen Zug den Schneeseekleerehfeedrehzehwehteekessel aus, und als der Schneeseekleerehfeedrehzehwehteekessel ausgetrunken war, hatte der hellgelbe Schneeseekleerehfeedrehzehwehtee das Schneeseekleerehfeedrehzehweh aus dem Schneeseekleerehfeedrehzeh der Schneeseekleerehfee weggehext, und da stieß die glückliche Fee eine lautes „Juchhe!“ aus, daß rings durch die Wälder schallte.

The European Commission have just announced an agreement whereby
English will be the official language of the EU rather than German,
which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, Her
Majesty's Government conceded that English spelling had some room
for improvement and has accepted a 5 year phase in plan that would be
known as "EuroEnglish". See the schedule and evolution below.

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c"... Sertainly, this
will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be
dropped in favor of the "k". This should klear up konfusion and
keyboards kan have 1 less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year, when
the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with the "f". This will make
words like "fotograf" 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be
expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkorage the removal of double letters, which have
always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that
the horible mes of the silent "e"'s in the language is disgraceful, and
they should go away.

By the 4th yar, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing
"th" with "z" and "w" with "v". During ze fifz year, ze unesesary "o"
kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and similar changes vud of
kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.

After ze fifz yer, ve vil hav a reli sensibl riten styl. Zer vil be
no mor trubls or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand
ech ozer.
