Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires. They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.

verry ugly, but also a kind of "run flat" - I am verry impressed about the run flat tires (eg. the continental on the 3-series BMW) - verry stiff on the side and IF you loose air you can still drive with 80 km/h for 250km - as you do not need a spare wheel or repair kit you get a lot of storage room - and the car gives you an alarm if you have a flat tire (you would not recognize it as they look flat almost the same as with air inside) - and the system is cool, there is NO sensor in the tire, the car rezognises the flat tire with the ABS sensors when one wheel has other messure results than the other 3 - the only bad thing is when you loose on all 4 wheels the same air at the same time, then the system would not give you an alarm.
