Biodiesel - Yes or No?

----------------------------

Would you use biodiesel in your EV2 in case it would be released for use?

Probleme mit Biodiesel

Hallo,

biodiesel no, acts like a solvent.

seed-oil yes, it's not refined and has the same caloric equivalent as diesel (not being esterized), but only in combination with a plantomot vegetable engine oil to prevent nasty polimerisations of vegetable-fuel-oil with synthetic-motor-oil.

oh i definitely need someone to start a new thread to talk about this in the right setting. i'm polluting every thread with my story...
ciao matteo

Just filled up my 807 with Diesel at a Total-station.
On the pump was a sticker that mentioned that 5% of bio-diesel was added.
Now other types of Diesel available. So, slowly everybody is gonna use this type of fuel.

I think generally its a good thing. As far as I know the fuel companies are fored by law to add a certain percentage of biofuel.

But now I've read some articles about biofuel. The problem is, more and more farmers are producing this thing and less farmers produce food. Because of that food becomes more expensive.

everything changes in former times as I were young (in the last century) farmers used to plant sugar beets. now they start to plant onrage trees and water melons.

Due to the changing weather conditions (global warming)?

Regards,

Biodiesel nein

In a couple of years, nobody knows how many years, it will be a problem, and many of the farmers will grow rape, because it will be one of the cheapest fuel.
