Please don't want things like that!!!
You will get a) the creapy seats of Zafira or C4. No real seats for daily use! b) Seats like in the Q7: Full seats (for people up to 165 cm ). Heavy, every time with you, loosing the half of trunkspace even if the seats are folded! High edge of the trunk!![]() Nothing for families with more then 4 members!I have no problem taking my 6 + 7 th seat from the cellar 1 or 2 times a year. And if I need them frequently for short times (sons footbool club) its no problem to let them in the car. For that things I would take with me normaly, it would be enough space anywhere in the car!

I have to support that! I haven't seen satisfying foldable seats up to today, and however you construct them, they will either be tiny or waste a lot of space. So I also prefer real seats which I can take out if I don't need them!

Hi all,
I do agree about the quality of the current fold-away seats (see the remark I already made). I would agree with tjskd about taking the seats from the cellar now and than only if I knew always upfront if I needed them yes or no. Furthermore, the current seats do take away space, if not in my car then at least in my cellar. So, a nice challenge for car interior designers to develop something better than what is available today ![]() Ciao, Ron

Maybe we should test some air inflated seats....

I voted "no".
![]() In fact the only reason why I still have my 807 is the workshop and the way they handled the numerous problems I had the last 5 1/2 years - most of them under the five years extended warranty. The car as such is great. It's a V6 and great on long journeys and of course on the daily trip to work (2x 70km). It's very fast for such a big car and very comfortable. We frequently have visitors from abroad, so the third seat row comes in quite handy. Since one year it's also converted to LPG, so even the fuel costs are acceptable now. Problem is, that it's completely unreliable. Up to now it has done 165tkm. During that time the ignition coils needed changing twice (all six of them - I barely made it to the workshop both times). Once it decided to let go of all hydraulic fluids over night (the oil cooler behind the front bumper) - very nice in an underground car park. The tire pressure sensors were a mess since the beginning. After changing tires to winter/summer it always took at least 1/2h to get the system quiet again. After three years I asked the workshop to disable it. The alarmsystem cannot be used. Any truck passing by or even my little Caterham that lives in the same garage will set it off. Rain sensor for the wipers also is not usable. It starts off nicely, then goes into permanent wiping mode and finally gets into frantic overdrive. Front brake pads need changing about every 25tkm. If you miss it, the brake will go (semi-) solid - happened just three weeks ago, just before we wanted to go on a holiday trip to the dolomites (again the workshop saved the day, so we could take off with minimum delay). Always annoying are of course all those fake fault messages that pop up once a while from the BC. Favorite is the faulty emission control system, followed closely by the defective ESP/ASR. The messages pop up and stay until the car is restarted again. When I bought the car somebody made a joke that French and electronics don't go along very well - in the meantime I know, it's not a joke. So, I won't buy an EV2 again. Probably my next car will be Japanese. |

I voted no as any car that cost you an extra £3000 after just 65000 miles is not a good car. It is a good looking, comfortable vehicle but they are simply to costly.

Yes, I would buy the car again!
Bought august, 2007 with 66Tkm, we now have around 100TKM without any "problems" despite new tires and refilling the diesel additive. The car in comfortable and good to handle, and: lots of space! ![]() My family loves it. Probalby it worth to mention that the car has nealry no electronic extras, only the basic equipment, but tehre is nothing we are really missing. And, we have a very good garage in Karlsruhe, which has handled all inspections reliably and at low cost so far. Bye Andreas |

I've had my second C8 since Jan 08 and it has 35k miles on the clock and the only issue I've had is the internal drivers side sliding door button not working and the rear screen heating button sticking. We changed the front brake pads at 20K and the rear at 30K the local garage skimmed the brake disc 1.5mm for £10 saving me a fortune as I didn't have to buy new discs, we have also put a full set of tyres on the car. We travelled 3K miles to Vias and the Ardeche in France this summer with no problems at all. The servicing is every 20K and one thing you should note is that I had to put 3L of oil in at 15K and 2L in at 32K. I will be buyinig another when it gets to 3 years old. My first C8 2004 whilst nice to drive was a bit of a nightmare with the faults but these have gone on the new one. Does anybody know when the C8 will be revamped or given a facelift ?

I have now sold my Ulysse and bought a Mazda6 so I guess that means my answer is no.
However, I think that if I was a person looking for a large 'people carrier' that had 6 or 7 (or even 8) full size seats I would still choose an EV2. It's great value for money. It is a better car than the competitors even if it does have some surprising reliability problems. However, I think other cars also have issues but they don't have such a friendly and helpful forum so perhaps we think there are more problems than the true statistics. My car had some problems but other people I know with Mercedes, VW, Audi, BMW have had bigger problems and mine have been smaller but perhaps more frequent. I don't think premium car buyers shout about their problems after spending so much on a car. |
