would you again buy an EV2?

From time to time there arises questions in this forum like "should I buy an EV2" (e.g. the todays posting of Wieder ein Neuer). I can imagine such a poll might help.
In case you would have to decide today wether to buy again an EV2 or not, how would you opt for, knowing all the details we have shared in this forum?

A clear yes ! There is no comparable car, and I also have the impression that the overall quality has improved from the start of production (just from reading older posts or reports of "older" cars - although some features seem to have disappeared on the other side)!

I voted no as well. As much as I love the look of the C8 (especially now she has her roof rails ), eventually I am going to have to buy a car which I am confident won't cost me a fortune when it goes out of warranty, and the C8 is just not one of those cars.

Already, after 15 months of EV2 ownership, I am looking at the New Land Rover Discovery, if only I can work out how to afford a £30,000 / €41,000 car!

I have voted 'don't know', because overall I'm quite happy with the Ulysse.
And in fact at the purchase date (2004) in my opinion there was no good other option available. But this might change in the future (e.g. I'm curious about the new Sharan)

Regards
Thomas

So only one "outed" himself for voting no - and giving the reason for that. What about the other 5 (up to now), do you want to stay anonymous or could you also give us a reason/explanation? Don't be afraid, we will not through anybody out of the for voting (could only be that you have to pay the in case that you come to a meeting!)

Hopefully they will improve the platform and not use the same as in EV1.

I hope that it will still be imported to Israel. Now it does not seem as a hysterical success here. The Euro is very high and Japanese or Korean minivans with similar specifications are much much cheaper, and their expected value keeping is much higher.

If the car will keep being OK+++ as now , chances are high that I will buy it again.
However it will depend also on future competiting models and value keeping.

Yes, yes, and once more yes.
Best car I ever had, allthough there were some small troubles.
Best Value/price.
I like the design of lancia.

I voted "don't know". At the moment I would say "No". But as I'm hoping to drive it for another 18 Months and I was convinced that the quality would improve within this time (and the 2.7 ltr Diesel engine) I might consider buying another EV2.
If the quality is still the same, I will start looking for a 7 seat SUV like Discovery or XC90....

Overall I'm happy with the car, but I can not accept the various problems, faults, etc etc of a £25k car.

Here, Disco & XC90 cost like 2 EV2s..., Is it the same in the UK?

Anyhow they are very different from each other. If I had an unlimited budget, Disco will be it...

Discovery is about 20% more in the UK: £25000 -> £30000

I also like the look of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee (it is only a 5 seater) - similar price £30000 - fitted with a 3.0Diesel, 5 speed autobox - it will do 0-100kmh in 9 seconds!!!

I couldn't afford the 5.7litre V8 Hemi though - 0-100kmh in 7 seconds
