Hmmm.........now I be in doubt what I will vote . The 1. owner of our C8 had inrush of water but we had never a problem. Only the sound of draining off water after a heavy rain is disturbing

So I vote "no, i never had problems with it"

If we take into account the former owner of Fred's car has already had problems and repaired the sunroofs, it 's now a score of 100% cars (of 5) in which the problem occured. Are there any other experiences ?

Peugeot Austria took the 807 roofs out of distribution. You cannot buy an 807 with sunroofs for about 2 years already due to the known leaking problem. However, the other three still sell sunroof C8/Uly/Phedra in Austria.

Lothar

My Fiat Ulysse 2.2 jtd Emotion (10/2005) had the problem with the leaking sun roofs from the beginning on. Interestingly sometimes the water came in, sometimes not. It took the FIAT garage 6 attempts to hopefully finally solve the problem. The first 5 times they told me that they couldn't locate where the water came in, but always changed the upper rubbers on all three windows. To be honest I had no clue either why the rain came in sometimes and sometimes not. But a few weeks ago a realised that depending on the angle, how the vehicle was parked, the water came in or didn't. Whenever I parked the the car, front facing downhill, the water came in in levelled position it happened sometimes and in the position front facing uphill, it happened relatively seldom.
I reported that to the garage, they promised me to try finding the the problem again, this time with the car parked in different angles. And interestingly they discovered the leak at the front roof window. They told me that the main rubber (the rubber connecting the chassis with the glass) was bended on the left side and was not in the place where it was supposed to be. --- All this is information from the garage if it is true or not I can't say. ---
The only thing I can say is, that obviously no water came in again after their latest attempt to fix it, no matter in what angle the the vehicle was parked; and there was really heavy rain the last four weeks after they fixed it. Lets hope, that a) the car stays dry and b) the weather gets better.

Amazing... I noticed it too : the rubber at the left front side was sometimes bended and even thorn when the roofs were leaking.

The roofs were repaired by my dealer who, so he said, added drainage which wasn't build in before.

Which brings me to the fact that at this moment 33% of sunroofs owners never had any problems. Supposing the lack of the drainage may be a construction failure, and in combination with this the rubber problem caused the leaks - is it right the 33% don't have the rubber problem ?

Hear This ... Lancia Italy doesn't recognise sunroof leaking as a problem. I drove the car to an official Lancia dealer in Trieste (very understanding garage), but after inserting chassis data into the computer the sunroof leakage wasn't recognised as a problem by Lancia. We browsed their internal page to find out that if such a phenomenon occurs, you need to do some silly checkings. He admited that such check won't solve the problem. After that we checked whether there are any newer version of sunroofs and found no new versions.
He said that they can do whatever I want but it will cost money. If they changed the whole front sunroof it would cost me 1000 EUROs + work totalling around 1500 EUROS .

I proposed the C8 solution with drainage, he said he understands my point, but again 16 hrs of work minimum.

After reading several times the forums on this site, I purchased a grey solution that is used for protecting the car's underbody from stone skids, as I couldn't find anything simmilar to the waxoyl proposed.

After treatment - I sprayed 3 times between the chassis and sunroof's external frame - I am not sure yet as we only have had 1 realy, really heavy rain (with trees being pulled out of earth,...), but no leakage...

Hopefully I solved the problem. The guy at Lancia listened to my solution and said it seems reasonable, but warned me that sunroofs temeratures go from -20 to+70 degrees and he can't say this could be a permanent solution and I might have to re-do it again... No problem as it cost me 4 EUR material and 45 mins of work.

What disapoints me is that Lancia is not even considering admiting that this is a known problem and shoud be solved by the house free.

Leaking sunroofs fixed at Peugeot garage

Hi,
I wanted to fix the leaking sunroofs myself but in the end I asked my Peugeot garage to do it. The price was approx EUR 400. They did it according to the instruction from Citroen (C8 Wassereintritt im Bereich der Konsole...).
Now it seems that the problem is solved , however I don't like hearing the sound of running water when driving faster after a rain...

EV2 final inspection

This looks funny YouTube - Trabi Endkontrolle - VEB Sachsenring (funny)
but if EV2's had half of this refined manual final inspection,
there would be no leaking sunroofs ....
