Hi everybody, here’s the last version of RTxMapEditor.

RTxMapEditor allows you to add POI (speed traps or others) to your Navteq maps for RT3 and RT4 with the same features as the original ones (display with an icon or text, information on location, select as destination, call using the embedded GSM…).

RT3 users can generate and burn CD with additional POI and use it exactly as the original map.

RT4 users can update as many times as needed the same map with different POI using a CD or a USB key (if you have a USB cable connected to your RT4). A quick update mode to update POI only is proposed (2mn instead of 20mn).

With RTxMapEditor RT4 toolbox you can change you bootscreen with only a few mouse clicks. It also helps to use tools like Agenda.dat, RT4set or copy the maps from the hard drive to a USB key.

• 2007/2008 2nd edition maps (version 5.2) can be read from a USB key and patched
• Modification of ISO image generation. It could fix problems encountered by some users with the ISO image.

• xxxDCP.CAT files are correctly updated (but still not used by RT3/RT4)
• RTxMapEditor generates scripts to copy maps from RT4 disk-drive to a USB key and is able to use this copy as well as the original CD. • 2007/2008 Navteq maps are used by both RT3 and RT4 (for upgrade). Then RT3MapEditor becomes RTxMapEditor
• RTxMapEditor asks for local laws checking if radar icon is used for a map not allowing this icon.
• simplified importation of European fixed radars from SCDB.info - The European Speed Camera Database(kmz format)
• Export of a previously imported POI list works correctly.
• Log file at the map root describes original/added/modified lists

Installation:

Do not uninstall the previous version before installing the new one. You’ll keep your configuration.

Installation is done by launching RTxMapEditor0407.exe.

On some PC, it is impossible to upgrade from the version 0400. An error popup is displayed. In this case, uninstall version 0400 before installing the new one.

Before installation, it is advised to read the user guide.

Do not forget RTxMapEditor needs .NET framework 2.0 installed on your PC. You can download if from Download details: .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86)
