Question Adding POI's with RTXmapeditor

Being new with the RT3 (but experienced with tomtom) I created some new navigation discs not only with speedcams, but also with our own collection of pois (visited restaurants, hotels, wineries ) and a collection of cheap gas stations.

With Tomtom I am used to naming them starting with an underscore to differentiate with the standard pois.

With the RT3 I noticed 2 peculiarities regarding the handling of your own added POIs.

First of all, the POIS you add on the RT3 don't show up in the index as seperate entries (the entries are fixed corresponding the icon classes), the added pois are listed under the standard entry belonging to the icon you have chosen. The name you give it is irrelevant. Eg I added our wineries under _knothoef_wineries , but in the index I chose the normal wineries entry, which listst the original wineries pois as well as our own.

Second, of all, the (irrelevant) name must not start with an underscore, if so, the pois are ALLWAYS displayed on the map as a cross with a name.

Is this behaviour standard? I was expecting the added pois to show up in the index as separate entries. AS for the chepa gas stations, they are now mixed with normal gas stations and hence more difficult to select.

Is there a way to replace the original pois with your own ?

My software version is 6.6D

RTx's in version 5.x, 6.x and 7.x (it is supposed to change with 8.0) do not support adding POI as TomTom does. The only way to add POI is to rebuild the original lists with added POI into them. But there is no way to assign them new icons (or type in TxMapEditor language) to have new lists.

Interresting. I've never tried a name with an "_" prefix. It's a pity my RT4 is Out of rder, I would have like to test it.
