Do I have the "new" or the "old" BSI software?

In late 2004, there was a change in the software of the BSI (Boîtier de Servitude Intelligent). That caused several effects. To figure out, whether you have the old or new SW, check out the following features:


1. Automatic side mirrors fold-out (How do I activate/deactivate automatic retraction of the side mirrors)
after starting engine: old BSI
after unlock: new BSI

2. Automatic closing of windows (How do I prevent automatic window closing when locking the car?)
after a short press of the remote's lock button (just locks the car): old BSI
after a long press (~3 sec) of the remote's lock button: new BSI

3. Automatic airing (opening of all windows using the remote) (How do I activate/deactivate 'automatic airing'?)
after two short presses of the remote's unlock button: old BSI
doesn't work at all: new BSI

Reason for the change of 2.)
Many EV2 drivers claimed responsibility of open windows (after locking) and resulting thefts to FIAT/PSA. Now, they changed the procedure to prevent liability for such a case in the future. If the driver claimes that one window stayed open while locking, FIAT/PSA can blame the driver for not pressing the remote's lock button long enough.
