The rear controls of the A/C located in the B colums is a nice feature. However, w/o reading the manual, the operation in conjunction with the "rear" button on the front A/C controller usually remains a secret. Here is a checked explanation on the operation:
There are two small fans, located before front door, for rear A/C flow. - With REAR button OFF(on main dashbord), those fan are "free" (not controlled, so it is the air flow (from main fan) who makes them trun) - With REAR button ON, fans are controlled by 2nd row button: * MAIN : Air flow given by front A/C settings, rear fans are free running * AUTO : same as main, but as they are now active, the air flow is stronger than when REAR is OFF. * 0 : fans are OFF (not free) : they don't move at all. And then you can still open/close the air outlets. So if you set REAR on, rear button to + and close the outlet, you feel the leak between the front door and the B column due to the A/C air pressure.
