Some members faced water leaking into the car after a heavy rainfalls. It does not leak during a carwash. The problem appeared to be the seal where the outer frame sits on the roof.
One cheap and effective solution is as follows: Get an aerosol can of "hammerite waxol rustproofing". It is best done on a hot day when the metal in the frame and roof has expanded, and make sure the aerosol has been out in the sun and the contents are warm and liquid. Mask of using masking tape around the frame, leaving about a 2 mm gap. Then spray the aerosol along the edge of the frame, where the 2 mm gap is. The oil will seep under the frame and harden into a permanent waxy seal, which is flexible. After it sets, remove the tape. Any surplus waxol can be easily removed with a credit card if necessary. The waxol cannot be seen unless u look really closely, and then just appears as a thin line, about 1 mm thick. It takes about an hour and costs about 10 euro Courtesy of xdaeire ![]() Related thread: http://www.eurovan2.com/forum/eurova...avy-storm.html
