Yet again my cordless headphones broke and after contacting the manufacturer (VDO) and being told that spare parts were not available I decided to mend them in a way that would prevent further breakages.
They say a picture paints a thousand words so have a look at the attached....it has worked well so far... Took me about an hour for each pair, a small dab of superglue will hold them in their fial position. 1-shows the broken part 2-file off the raised pips...... 3-.......so they look like this 4-cut off 7mm of 15mm diameter copper tube....... 5-.......to make this 6-cut it....... 7-.......to make this 8-hammer it flat 9-mark 12mm in from the end....... 10-.......and bend it to this shape 11-try it in position, small adjustments can be made by squeezing it to make a tight fit 12-file the edges and round the corners, spray it black and fit into place Pretty neat eh ? |
