Question Replace RD4 to RT3 in 407

Dear All:

I am a new guy for this forum and look for the information for a long time. Based on this, I am trying to install a RT3+Color LCD on my 407.

The original components on my 407 (Full-CAN) is:
1. RD4 (Blukpnt)
2. Mono Screen

And I had bought the following items.
1. RT3 (for 407 used only)
2. RT3 Color LCD Screen (with fiber wire)
3. Antenna for 206 RT3 (with GPS/GSM output, however, not AM/FM part??)

Today, I am trying to install this component on my 407. I can easily disconnect my RD4 and install RT3 (the connector is complete fit-in and the fiber wire can install with the wire). However, when I take the mono display of and try to install color LCD. It can not be install since the connector is different, even both of them are 12 pins, however, it can not fit it accordingly.

According to the suggestion of yours, should I still bought a 6565ER (It used at VAN-CAN 307, can it be used in a FULL CAN 407 or not) or other partid for installing my RT3 successful. Thanks for your information.

PS 1. I had reference the sequence at http://www.forum-peugeot.com/Forum/projet-installation-rt3-couleur-dans-ma-206-moi-aussi-20873-0.html. Could anybody send some pictures or post about change RD4 to RT3 to me... THANK (sirius@cis.nctu.edu.tw)

Just a comment on a different topic: Did the RD4 have a CAN connector that you can use now for the RT3 ?

YES... the connector of RD4 and RT3 is the same... however, the antenna connectors are different.
Does any EXPERT can help me to confirm that 6565ER can be used in FULL CAN 407 or not... Thanks for you all.

RD4 and RT3 are not interchangebles directly. Even connectors are the same, quadlock, the pinout is not the same. Can dbus, signal, power, mass are identical but there are some signals as the power for the TFT that makes the difference, and of course the fiber optic MOST connection. I have a preliminary version of the connections extracted from several schemas if somebody is interested.
Does anybody have a 407 schema of the RT3?
I am also retrofitting a RT3 in a 407.
Does any body know the reference of the female connector to the TFT? .
I have the fiber but it is a little loosen withou the proper housing.

changing the whole wireloom depents on what options is installed in the car, so thats not easy to tell for a outsider, but dont you think it will be easier to just make the extra wireing? only hard thing then is to get the right connectors.

the microphone (peugeot) partnumber is 6563HS.

I have all pieces, it os not necesary to change, just to modify some connections. What I am doing is to adequate a parrot cable to include the connections necesary, tft power from the16 vias in the Quadlock connector, the ventilator, the tft dark, .. in the part B,..
Obviously the gps/gsm antenna, the antenna conmuter..

What I really need is the real schema of a 407. I have several from 307, 1007, but not the 407. Does any body has the wiring schema of the 407?

Hi,
8 months ago I bought new P407SW with RD4 and mono screen. Now I would like to replace my RD4 and mono screen with RT3 and RT3 LCD screen. The problem I faced is the dealer information that Peugeot is not predicted of replacement the system and I can't do it in any authorize Peugeot garage. Could any body help me to collect information regarding part numbers of new components and send little information how I can bring to the other end?

Many thanks and Kind Regards
Miro

Hi, I am struggling with changing rd4 for rt3, the only problem i think I have is the connection on the rear of the colour lcd, I can see that the 2 orange cables go no probs, but while the rd4s mono screen has 4 cables, the rt3s colour has 5, any idea's, thanks in advance, Ian
